Bear: (Climbing onto the recliner with me carrying the Christmas puppy toy that barks.)
Me: (Squeezing the dog to start it barking) Sweetie, don’t drop the toy
Bear: Ok Mom (drops the toy)
Me: (Leaning down to get the toy) Bear, I just told you to not drop the toy
Bear: (Taking the toy back) Sorry Mom (Drops the toy on top of Betsy) Mom! Betsy took my toy!
Me: (Reaching down to pick the toy up off Betsy’s shoulder) Bear, one more time and you are following the toy.
Bear: Mom, that’s no fair! (Turns his head so it looks like he dropped it again)
Me: (Leaning down to make sure the toy didn’t hit Betsy)
Bear: (Holding the toy by the tip of one of the antlers) Ha Mom! I fooled you. (Drops toy) Uh-oh.
You will give me your chew toy…
You are getting very sleepy….
Nap, I need a nap….
What? I found it!
After a long day of treat theft, Bear discovered water.
I felt like a bad foster mom today when I had to take two toys away from the puppies since they were making too much noise during one of my conference calls.
I felt less bad when the brats stole the toys off the table I put them on and went right back to squeaking. 🙂
Lady: Noise! I heard a noise!
Betsy: Noise! Scary Noise! Lady heard a Noise!
Ariel from the backyard: Noise! (scratching frantically) I’m gonna die!!! Let me in!!!
Foster Mom: (Lets Ariel bounce in) Betsy? What’s Wrong?
Ariel: There was a noise!!!! We are gonna die!!!!!
Betsy: Noise!!! Scary, Scary Noise! Lady says so!!
Foster Mom: Lady?
Foster Mom: Scary Noise???
Ariel: Are we gonna die????
Lady: Ummm maybe not
Bear: (Yawning) What?
